Siganus Rabbitfish are generally herbivores but if not fed well enough may pick at tunicates, sponge or even coral. A diet rich in algae based foods should be readily provided.

Care will need to be taken when handling Rabbitfish as they have venomous spines.

Siganus Rabbitfish are considered peaceful towards most fish except other Rabbitfish, consider adding only one per aquarium.

Siganus Rabbitifish have the unique ability to camouflage themselves while sleeping or when frightened.

Rabbitfish can grow to slightly more than 16".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 180 gallons or larger for this species.
