Diamond Goby

  • Valenciennea Gobies are often known as Sleeper Gobies and should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work, cracks, crevices, caves with a sand bed should be provided for hiding.

  • Valencienna are small, easy to maintain and fit well in most reef aquariums.

  • They are a good sand sifter and will pick up mouths of sand looking for small invertebrates and organic matter.

  • A diet of meaty and algae based foods should be provided multiple times daily. Feed adult, fortified Brine, Glass/Grass shrimp and black worms if having difficulty enticing a feeding response.

  • Valenciennea Gobies tend to be shy and peaceful house with other peaceful tank mates.

  • In the wild Valenciennea Gobies mate for life if possible house as a mated pair.

  • Provide a tight fitting aquarium as Gobies may jump.

  • Diamond Watchman Gobies can grow to a little over 8".

 

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
