RED Firefish Goby

  • Nemateleotris Firefish should be added to aquariums with plenty of rockwork, cracks, crevices and caves for hiding when threatenedd.

  • Firefish will also need ample swim room with moderate current as they will generally face into the water flow in order to capture food.

  • Small groups have been housed together in larger aquariums.

  • House with other tank mates that will not out compete Firefish for food. Feed a diet rich in meaty foods twice daily as Firefish coloration may fade if not well fed.

  • Provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as they are known to jump.

  • Fire Goby can grow to almost 3".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 20 gallons or larger for this species.
