• Cryptocentrus Gobies are also known as shrimp Gobies and develop a symbiotic relationship with alpheid shrimp.

• The shrimp provide a home used by both the shrimp and Goby, while the Goby acts as a lookout for predators.

• Shrimp Gobies are peaceful, hardy, small and easy to maintain.

• Cryptocentrus Gobies should be added to aquariums with a deep sand bed for burrowing.

•  Shrimp Gobies will also scavenge through the sand for food. House with other peaceful tank mates.

• Gobies may jump provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.

• Although quite peaceful Cryptocentrus Gobies should be kept singly or as a mated pair.

• Goby can grow to a little over 5".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 50 gallons or larger for this species.
