Orange Prawn Goby

  • Amblyeleotris Gobies are also known as shrimp Gobies and develop a symbiotic relationship with alpheid shrimp.

  • The shrimp provide a home used by both the shrimp and Goby, while the Goby acts as a lookout for predators.

  • Shrimp Gobies are hardy and make great additions to a reef aquarium. Amblyeleotris Gobies should be added to aquariums with a deep sand bed for burrowing. Ample rockwork for grazing and hiding should be provided along with a diet of marine meaty foods multiple times daily. Shrimp Gobies will also scavenge through the sand for food.

  • Gobies are good jumpers be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.

  • Goby can grow to a little over 5".

 

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 10 gallons or larger for this species.
