Blue Velvet Damsel

  • Neoglyphidodon Damselfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work should be provided for grazing. Neoglyphidodon Damselfish are very aggressive careful planning and consideration should be taken before adding fish to aquariums.

  • They should be housed singly and only be housed with larger, intrusive and more aggressive tank mates.

  • A diet of meaty and algae based foods which includes Spirulina should be provided several times daily.

  • They may also pick at soft corals.

  • They can grow a little over 6".

 

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 50 gallons or larger for this species.
