Chalk Basslet



    Known as Dwarf Sea Basses Serranus Basslets are hardy and should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork and swimming room.


    Provide a diet of meaty enriched foods along with algae matter. Serranus Basslets have high metabolism's so be sure to feed multiple times a day.


    Peaceful but can be aggressive towards inhabitants that swim in the lower level of your aquarium.


    Serranus may pick at small shrimp and crabs. S


    Hermaphroditic meaning they may have both sex organs at some point in their lives.


    Chalk Basslet can grow to 3".



     

    We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.

     

    Water conditions: Salinity 1.020 - 1.025, Temp (F) 72 - 78, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Alkalinity 8 - 12 dKH
